Hi my name is Michelle Peragine and I teach the 2nd and 3rd grade class. I've been in education for over 27 years. I have worked in Hardee & Highlands County since 2003. I have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education K-/ through 6th. My personal pedagogy is simple. All children can learn and all children have special gifts which we as educators and adults can enhance. Taking children where they're at and helping them to get to their very best selves is my ultimate goal.
Hi! I’m Mrs. Sharon Lenhardt. Welcome to my ELA class. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. I also have a Master’s in Education and am Gifted and ESOL Endorsed. This is my first year teaching in Lake Placid, but I have been teaching in Orlando for over 27 years! I have worked with ESE students, gifted students, highly-gifted students and K-8th grade. I believe all students can learn and with the proper guidance and the development of intrinsic motivation, they can thrive!

Administrative Asst/ESE Coordinator
Resource Officer
School Secretary
January 9, 2024 my life changed drastically. I went from being retired, which you never really are, to working for LPELL and I love it. It is inspirational to work with an administration and teachers that have heart and truly care about the students and their individual as well as group success. I love interacting with all involved from administration to the kids who overall aer very respectful and behave well. It is truly educational and inspirational.
"IEPs’ and 504's are my passion and I love being able to work closely with my parents and students to find the best course of action to push them forward in their education. This position allows me to be creative and think outside the box. Which is exactly what some of us need. The freedom to “throw out the book” and do something different is what it’s all about.
Introducing “Our Resource Officer” Beaux. At 125lbs., Beaux is from Louisiana and was rescued as a pup. He loves coming to school and spending time with our students. Last year, two students shared that having Officer Beaux at school helped them “learn so much more!” But don’t be fooled by the sweet face, you mess with “his family” you are sure to be put in your place!
