Miss Gill’s passion for education has spanned 52 years, with most of them at Lake Placid High School. She also taught at Lake Placid Christian and Lakeview Christian School. Her courses include Spanish and Social Studies. She also is an adjunct instructor at South Florida State College, teaching Humanities online. Miss Gill looks forward to using her public school retirement years to help further student’s education in Highlands county as the Co-founder and teacher at Lake Placid E– Learning Lab.

Ms. Tucker is the LPELL Co-founder and has incorporated many professional and life skills in her philosophy of education. She has been a preschool teacher, and an elementary, and middle school educator for over 19 years. She believes in developing “Life-long Learners” in her students. With a BA in Elementary Education from Madonna University, Ms. Tucker has been certified in All Subjects K-8; English, Early Childhood, Social Studies, and Equine Assisted Psychotherapy. She completed her work toward her Master’s degree through Liberty University in Pastoral Counseling and Christian Education.

IEPs’ and 504's are my passion and I love being able to work closely with my parents and students to find the best course of action to push them forward in their education. This position allows me to be creative and think outside the box. Which is exactly what some of us need. The freedom to “throw out the book” and do something different is what it’s all about.

Fly Hand Drawing

Hello! My name is Mrs. Jillie. I was introduced to LPELL when my son attended this school before we moved to West Virginia. While my son was attending as a student, I was working the front desk as the school’s administrative assistant. Now in West Virginia, I still work the position remotely.

My life is WV has been a new amazing adventure! My husband and I have taken to enjoying the wildlife by fishing and riding back roads in my Bronco. When I’m not working or enjoying the outdoors with my husband, you’ll find me with my two little boys that are still at home. My boys are in football, wrestling and soccer and I love being at every game/tournament to support them! I am also newly a grandma to a sweet kitten named Sophie (my daughter made me write this).

A child experiencing sexual abuse may have unusual knowledge of sex or act seductively, fear a particular person, seem withdrawn or depressed, gain or lose weight suddenly, shy away from physical contact, or run away from home.

Signs of Neglect: The child may have unattended medical needs, little or no supervision at home, poor hygiene, or appear underweight. A child experiencing neglect may be frequently tired or hungry, steal food, or appear overly needy for adult attention.

Patterns of Abuse: Serious abuse usually involves a combination of factors. While a single sign may not be significant, a pattern of physical or behavioral signs is a serious indicator and should be reported.
